What we Believe
As a Christian
church, we believe that all man kind falls short
of the Holy character of God as a result of sin punishable not only by death, but
also eternal separation from God. We believe that Jesus Christ, who was God incarnate,
lived a perfect life, died a criminals death and rose from the dead on the third day, becoming
sin, so that man could once again be united with God in this life and into Eternity.
All that a person needs to do to be a Christian, and be saved from the destruction
of hell is to repent and have faith that Jesus Christ's death paid the debt that
was reserved for us.
As disciples, we believe that although we are far from perfection,
we are called to follow Christ, and his example, in the world today by the Holy
Spirit. Eternally secure through the death of Christ, our actions are done from
a heart and act of worship.
As a Baptist church, we believe that two of Christ's commands to
the church was for each member to firstly be baptised bodily, completely and willingly.
Secondly we believe we called to partake in communion where we remember and reflect
on the Lord's death for us through the eating of bread and the drinking of wine.
